With this apartment we were presented with a specific problem, the kitchen - or lack of it!

This is a fairly common issue with poorly planned apartments, where the kitchen is more of a "kitchenette", & definitely not suitable for a resident couple, much less a family, & in reality resembles nothing more than a hotel room "beverage counter".

We are particularly proud of the solutions we found to significantly enhance this apartment, & significantly increase value to boot!

The challenges were not small, but nothing we couldn't handle. These included:

• Removing a small cupboard from an adjoining room to enable an extension of the kitchen.
• Moving the electrical switchboard which was mounted on the cupboard.
• Removing the sprinkler outlet which serviced the cupboard.
• Moving the washer/dryer to under the kitchen bench which enabled us to:
• Fit a full size fridge & microwave unit into the under-utilised laundry space next to the kitchen.
• Design & build completely new custom kitchen cabinetry to include full size hob, dishwasher & oven.

Other features were the beautiful "Origami" splash back tiles, led strip lighting, black tapware & black accents.

I think you will agree that the finished result is a far cry from the original design, and it just shows that a bit of clever thinking & expertise can truly transform a space from ordinary to extraordinary!
